 GTO 2004-2006 8.8 Rear ConversionThe GTO 8.8 conversion kit will allow you to install any independent 8.8 rear diff under a GTO. As you all know the factory GM rear in the GTO is decent but when you start pushing real HP in them they don't stand up. Drive Shaft shop along with Thomas Hendrix and Scott Grant have designed a bolt in kit to install a 8.8 rear diff from either a 90-97 T-bird/Cougar (steel case) or a Mustang Cobra Aluminum case (5lb difference between the cases) these rears have been abused by the Mustang crowd for years seeing over 900hp and 1.3 60ft times with out failure, the choice of gears and center sections make this a great addition to the car.
