    Hello Frank/Lee,
I hope you are doing well. I wanted to provide you with an update on the progress that we are making with the 2.9 DSS axles. We have now push on these harder and have pulled a 10.44@131 at this weekends Battle of the Imports race in Fontana, California. We walked away with the win ! Each pass the car was getting faster and faster. Our Best 60ft was a 1.415. I have included a link that I found on You Tube with the car running in the Semi finals at which time we ran a 10.56. With this win, I have pulled our little motor out and will be switching over
the a Dry Sump motor in preparation for NHRA Pomona. The motor that will be replacing the current engine will be a ??????. Thank you for your continuing support !

  • Skunk2 has always been know for its innovations and cutting edge technology in the past and the new Honda FIT project shows they have been doing there homework, they have managed to get an amazing amount of power from the little car. Here’s a quote from them. We built 2 motors for the Fit: a 225WHP, and 300WHP version. We ran the 225WHP version for the challenge (both using the new DSS 2.9 axles). We are not allowed to provide the final results of the challenge, which was last month at Willow Springs, but I can tell you we beat the Supercharged FFFF MMMMMMM and and Turbo VVVVVVVVVV GGG on the road course and drag aspects of the challenge. Not bad for a little 1.5-liter car that the other teams were initially calling a clown car.

  • The Driveshaft Shop is proud to be a part of Honda Tuning Magazine’s latest project. HT has partnered with Endyn, Dart, Brian Crower and more to try and achieve the seemingly impossible goal of building an engine capable of 150 horsepower per liter on 91 octane pump gas – with day-to-day reliability, even good gas mileage. The foundation is a Dart B20 style tall block with Brian Crower crank and rods. Endyn will work its magic on the rest of the package, from the valve cover to the oil pan. According to Larry Widmer of Endyn, “We’ve done this before, 150 per liter has already been achieved. For this motor we’re shooting for a bit more than that.” The engine will be approximately 2.05 liters so that’s an amazing 310 horsepower! All Motor! Starting in the fall, the first of issue of Honda Tuning Magazine should appear detailing the buildup. All-Motor cars are brutal on axles and the Driveshaft Shop will have a set of its newest, strongest Level II axles on the car for its trip down the quarter mile.
