Here is the DSS 9" conversion for the 92-02 Viper, this kit starts with a Strange Pro-aluminum bolt thru case and will handle any power you want to put thru it. We offer a choice of gears from 3:00 to 4:56 and can be assembled with a 33 spline Wavetrac Torsion diff (custom made for DSS by Autotech).

Product Description

Here is the DSS 9" conversion for the 92-02 Viper. The kit will come complete with 9" rear housing (bare housing), front mount,1400HP rated 31,33 OR 35 spline diff stubs and true 1400HP Direct bolt-in axles . The outer CV is a Extreme built Billet CV stub mated to inner and outer Porsche style 930 inner CV with fully REM polished internals. We have custom made the internals of these CV's to use the larger center bar that is the strongest tested part on the market today and is used (not claimed) in each and every 9,8,7 and even 6 second IRS record breaking car out today. The front mount that connects to the original 5 pinion bolts on the 9” center section and the housing is designed to mount to the factory differential mounting points.

Due to the variety of differentials, spools and cases available we have decided to supply the 9” housing rear alone as a kit and let you use the drop down menu to pick the Center section, so you can decide what would be best for your needs. The kit comes with all other hardware needed for the installation. a new larger Vent tube and we have also added a "magnetic drain plug" to collect the break in debris from the gears (gears have to be broken in for 300-500 miles and the oil changed).

This, along with our full 4" aluminum driveshaft (or a $600.00 Carbon Fiber upgrade). Our driveshafts are balanced on our new 9500RPM balancer. A quick word about balancing; we have recently taken delivery of our new custom made balancer. Most balancing machines can only spin a shaft from 400RPM-3000RPM, although these are good machines, they do not see the unique problems that the modern muscle car presents. These newer cars are uni-body and have most of the components bolted directly to the floor, so a real high speed balance is needed. We guarantee that this shaft will not vibrate at any speed.
